  • Perform Systems Engineering tasks throughout the entire lifecycle of programs or IR&D projects.
  • Generate engineering documentation including specifications, interface control documents, and test plans.
  • Manage requirements with MBSE (Cameo), DOORS or other designated software system.
  • Support the hardware assembly, integration, and test team, including test execution and anomaly resolution.
  • Conduct spacecraft performance modeling and simulation.
  • Work on spacecraft subsystems such as power, telecom, propulsion, command and data handling, or attitude determination and control systems.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple organizations.
  • Participate in writing proposals and creating and delivering presentations.
  • Support the development of and conduct mission operations for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.Working Conditions:
    • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
    • May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
    • May access other facilities in various weather conditions.#IJSRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
      • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 8 or more years related experience.
      • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
      • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
      • Experience with systems engineering tools and processes, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
      • Experience in space systems engineering (spacecraft systems, mission systems, ground systems, payload systems, or space hardware integration and test).
      • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand the customer's needs and provide clear communication of proposed solutions.
      • Strong presentation skills and ability to present to internal teams as well as the customer.
      • A willingness to learn and collaborate within a team.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
        • Advanced software skills, such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Confluence, DOORS, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, LabVIEW, Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, Systems Tool Kit (STK)l.
        • Advanced Language skills, such as MATLAB, Python, LINUX/UNIX, C, C++, IDL and other analytical tools.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $112420.000 - $191070.000Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
