Job Description:
TOOL REQUIREMENTS: Employee must provide: a good fitting pair of
OSHA approved work boots, a 5-way, 2 good latex and oil brushes,
2-4' pole, caulking gun, razor, 9 frame, 6 frame, set of whites,
clear liners, and duffle bag to carry tools. Company will provide
shirt with company logo. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports the business
in all areas, including from time to time duties that may be
outside of normal job duties. Shows up on time every day, works the
scheduled hours every day and ensures all time off is scheduled and
approved in advance. Properly prepares surfaces and job areas for
painting including taping. Ensures that adjacent areas, floors and
ceiling are clean, covered and that there is no spillage, dripping
or overspray to unwanted area. Primes and applies finished coat per
job specifications. Maintains clean and organized work areas that
are free from safety hazards. Adheres to the company's safety
program and performs all work in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensures materials are not wasted and that all left over material is
properly sealed, package or wrapped. Exercises care to prevent
mistakes, application of the wrong material and sloppy workmanship.
Treats customers, superintendents, home owners, etc with respect
and handles complaints in a positive, pro-customer manner.
AUTHORITY: Follows direction of lead painter or job supervisor.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs warranty work as
required. Completes all work in a way that ensures that all
assigned jobs are done properly and efficiently. Maintains
cooperative working relationships with all employees. Maintains
accurate paperwork and completes timesheets everyday. Assists other
employees as applicable. Performs other duties as may be required
from time to time that are not specifically detailed in this job
description. MEASURE OF PERFORMANCE: All assigned work is done
properly and to company standards and there are no call backs to
redo work. here is no waste of materials or supplies. All safety
practice Material is used effectively ands and work and safety
procedures are strictly followed and there are no injuries on the
job. Time sheets and job costing information are accurate and
turned in per company guidelines. The employee has a positive
attitude and has maintained a cooperative working relationship with
supervisors, job superintendents, other employees, owners as well
as the Company owner. Shows up on time and works the scheduled
hours every day. All time off is scheduled and approved in advance.
Work areas are neat, organized and thoroughly clean at the end of
every job and as appropriate at the end of every work day. The
foreman is kept informed of any potential problems with customers,
jobs, or delivery deadlines. Conduct and language on job sites is
proper and always meets company requirements. Proper and clean
clothing is worn at all times per company policy. Cell phones are
not on job sites for personal business. Requests training when
uncertain about how to perform an assigned task. Good judgment is
used in resolving problems that arise. Demonstrates the ability to
work with little supervision. Provides ideas and suggestions as to
how to improve the process or save time and material to the foreman
in a constructive manner. The Company owner is satisfied with the
quality and quantity of work performed. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform
this job successfully, an individual must be able to cut a straight
line with a paint brush or properly use tape and caulk line
techniques, be able to work assigned work schedules and be able to
provide basic tool list as shown on page 4 after company provided
starter kit. Employee must demonstrate that he or she knows how to
safely operate a scissors lift and Genie Boom. The requirements

Prior to starting work, must have pasted a drug-screening test per
company policy. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year final painting for a reputable
painting company. KNOWLEDGE: Must be knowledgeable in painting
techniques and the use of painting equipment, such as sprayers and
of industry safety requirements. Must be able to read and write
English well enough to understand work orders and properly fill in
time cards. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to perform basic
arithmetic and calculate areas and coverage requirements. TECHNICAL
SKILLS: Must have a basic understanding and skills to operated
painting equipment, including sprayers, scaffolding, etc. REASONING
ABILITY: Must to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
PERSONALITY TRAITS: Must be attentive to detail, able to work
independently, and work, at times under time constraints. Must be
able to assume responsibility for tasks assigned, follow direction
given, and effectively communicate and collaborate with job
supervisor, other employees, and customers. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES,
REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid driver's license and able to
provide own transportation to work and have a OSHA 10 Hour
certificate or obtain this certificate within the timeframe
required by the Com PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands
