Job Description:
A company is looking for a Commercial Auto Underwriter I to
assess risk and determine case suitability for the
organization.
Key Responsibilities
Perform risk reviews and underwriting assessments for new business,
renewals, endorsements, and reinstatements
Make decisions on risk acceptability and serve as a contact for
Customer Service and Backoffice teams
Analyze data to inform pricing, underwriting, and sales decisions
while ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience
6+ months of commercial underwriting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,
PowerPoint)
Ability to establish and maintain agency relationships and identify
profitable opportunities
Willingness to pursue insurance professional designations such as
IIC, CPCU, AU, and/or ARM
