Job Description:
A company is looking for a POS Charge Specialist who will assign
appropriate billing codes for various healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
Review patient records and assign procedure codes using coding
software and the Charge Description Master
Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical documentation
and collaborate with Revenue Integrity staff
Work with other coding staff to maintain consistency and provide
services as part of a system team
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
Two or more years of related work experience in a clinical or
medical office setting
Knowledge of medical terminology and current regulatory agency
requirements for coding
Ability to work effectively with common office software and
electronic medical records systems
Preferred: Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding experience
and relevant certifications (CCS or CPC)
