Together, we continue to shape the future of defense, one innovative solution at a time.Location: Colorado Springs, COSalary: $100k - $150kClearance: Active Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCIEducation: Bachelor's degree (STEM)Experience: 5+ YearsOVERVIEWCaribou Thunder is seeking a Principal Software Development Analyst to join the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST) product line under the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC).REQUIREMENTSThis position is on-site at in Colorado Springs, CO, and will support the development, benchmarking, and validation of modeling and simulation (M&S) products for Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) systems.1. Research and analyze technical missile defense data to support model enhancements2. Analyze and document new simulation capabilities and performance metrics3. Collaborate with development teams and customers to define acceptance criteria4. Develop software tools to support benchmarking, anchoring, and V&V efforts5. Create detailed Verification and Validation (V&V) documentation6. Support agile software teams and simulation architecture development7. Provide customer support and present technical briefings to stakeholdersQUALIFICATIONS1. Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years of related experience, OR Master's degree and 3+ years of experience2. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; self-starter with a team-focused mindset3. Familiarity with Agile development practices4. Proficiency with C++ and Java5. Experience with Linux environments6. Proficiency in developing tools using Python, MATLAB, or similar7. Experience in modeling and simulationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS8. Experience with OPIR system simulations9. Background in Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe10. Proficiency with SQL queries11. Familiarity with large-scale M&S systems and discrete event simulation platforms12. Domain knowledge in missile defense, command & control systems13.
